Rural India faces a severe technology deficit. The so-called digital divide is widely spoken and written about; the technology divide is even greater.

Technology should be perceived as a source of sustainable development for addressing local problems and needs of rural populace belonging to the bottom of the pyramid. For fostering sustainable rural development, the need for technology intervention is primary.

The Mission

  • To enhance the quality of life of the rural communities by deploying new technologies through research, education and practice
  • Pilot and scale at least 20 new technology products/ services every year for the next 3 years, in all the BRF adopted villages
  • Impact and improve the lives of at least 20% of the rural population through new technologies, products and services in the next 3 years
